Dr. Peter Raisanen, NMD

Meet Our Doctor

Dr. Peter Raisanen believes that true health is about more than laboratory values and prescriptions—it's about becoming the person God created you to be. As a Christian, husband, and father, he views medicine as an opportunity to serve others by helping them restore their health, strengthen their relationships, and fully engage in their purpose.

His approach is grounded in the belief that every patient has a unique story. Rather than relying on one-size-fits-all protocols, Dr. Raisanen takes the time to understand each individual's goals, challenges, and lifestyle, creating personalized treatment plans designed to produce meaningful and lasting results.

Trained at Bastyr University San Diego, one of the nation's leading naturopathic medical schools, Dr. Raisanen combines evidence-based medicine with a comprehensive approach to health optimization. His clinical focus includes testosterone replacement therapy, hormone optimization, metabolic health, longevity, and preventive medicine.

What drew Dr. Raisanen to this field was not simply the science, but the transformation. Seeing men regain their energy, confidence, vitality, and sense of purpose reinforced his conviction that optimizing health can profoundly impact every area of life. He is passionate about helping patients become stronger physically, mentally, and emotionally so they can better fulfill their responsibilities at home, at work, and within their communities.

When he is not caring for patients, Dr. Raisanen enjoys spending time with his family, studying Scripture, pursuing lifelong learning, and staying at the forefront of advances in hormone optimization and integrative medicine.

Dr. Raisanen is a co-founder of Men's Revival, where he is dedicated to helping patients reclaim their health and live with greater strength, purpose, and vitality.

Our process is simple, affordable, and proven.

Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) is most commonly used to treat symptoms of perimenopause and menopause, but it can also support overall hormonal health in women experiencing imbalances. The potential benefits include:

1. Relief from Menopausal Symptoms

  • Reduces hot flashes and night sweats
  • Eases vaginal dryness and discomfort during intimacy
  • Improves sleep quality
  • Minimize mood swings and irritability

2. Protection Against Osteoporosis

  • Helps maintain bone density
  • Reduces the risk of fractures, especially in postmenopausal women

3. Support for Heart Health

  • May improve cholesterol profiles and blood vessel function when initiated near the onset of menopause

4. Enhanced Mental Clarity and Mood

  • May improve memory, focus, and reduce the risk of depression or anxiety

5. Improved Skin, Hair, and Muscle Mass

  • Promotes healthier, more elastic skin
  • Can reduce hair thinning
  • Helps preserve lean muscle mass and support metabolism

6. Improved Sexual Health

  • Restores libido
  • Reduces vaginal discomfort, increasing sexual satisfaction
The optimal time to begin HRT depends on a woman’s individual symptoms, health profile, and age. General guidelines include:
Perimenopause or early menopause (typically between ages 45–55) is the most common and effective window to start HRT.
Starting within 10 years of the onset of the last period may offer the greatest benefit-to-risk ratio, especially for cardiovascular protection and bone health.
Women with certain health conditions (e.g., breast cancer, history of blood clots, liver disease) may not be good candidates for HRT. Hormone replacement therapy is not one-size-fits-all. It’s important to work with a qualified healthcare provider to evaluate symptoms, medical history, and lab results to determine the safest and most effective approach.
You can safely stay on HRT for several years—and in some cases, even longer—if you’re monitored regularly and the therapy continues to benefit your health and quality of life. Always individualize the decision with a trusted hormone specialist.
